TENS Machine for Labour

Midwives recommend TENS machines because they are safe to use and they enable birthers to remain mobile and upright during labour. This aids dilatation and baby's descent to provide a more natural, drug-free form of pain relief.
TENS machines use Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation to relieve pain by helping the body to release natural painkillers (called endorphins) and by blocking pain signals to the brain.
